Ahmedabad Civil Hospital has arranged to collect DNA samples from relatives of those who died in the recent plane crash to assist with identification, Health Secretary Dhananjay Dwivedi confirmed.
Currently, 50 injured patients are being treated at the hospital, all in stable condition.
A special DNA sampling center has been set up at Kasoti Bhavan within Ahmedabad Civil Hospital for this purpose. Only close family members, such as parents or children of the victims, are allowed to provide samples.
Hospital officials have asked relatives to visit Kasoti Bhavan to submit DNA samples.
Additionally, the hospital has released two emergency contact numbers for relatives seeking information about patient treatment at the trauma center.
